Melbourne Icon Series

by Rob Dolan Wines

When the most liveable city in the world became the most locked-down city in the world, it was the little things we missed; The walk to the ‘G to watch the footy, lining up outside The Corner waiting for a gig, or the smell of freshly ground coffee down a laneway.

We’ve been sitting in our home and community bubbles, waiting to come back out and celebrate our great city. Now the time has come, to pop the bubbles!

To celebrate the resilience of Melbournians and the re-opening of our great city, Rob Dolan Wines has released a limited-edition Blanc de Blanc – The Melbourne Icon Series.

Six different labels each showcase an iconic Melbourne destination or activity, and each have an associated cause. Rob Dolan wines will donate 50% of profits to the associated cause for every bottle sold:

“We want to celebrate Melbourne, but also help rebuild key areas impacted by the pandemic” says Rob Dolan, the wineries’ founder, a keen foodie and avid footy fan.

“The best thing about our winery is we’re only 30 minutes from the city, which I absolutely love – there’s so much vibrance and atmosphere to Melbourne and it’s great to be a part of it.

So, pop these bubbles and enjoy!”

Individual bottles are $28. Can’t choose? Buy a mixed pack!

Kate is a proud graduate of the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts’ acclaimed Music Theatre course. As an actor, she has performed in musicals and plays across Melbourne and Perth. She is also a guest vocalist for jazz/funk band Dig We Must and in COVID normal times, enjoys teaching music theatre classes to young people.

Kate has a background in visual communication and design and won the Premiers award for excellence in Design and Technology (fabric) in 2011.

During the first COVID19 lockdown, after losing the vast majority of her work, Kate was looking for something creative that she could still do at home and digital illustration became that outlet. After sharing her illustrations online, she was approached for some commissions for friends and began Lines by Kate.

By the end of 2020, Kate was regularly selling pieces, set up her business with a Certificate III in Micro Business and designed the signature tote bag and window design of the Hunter Markets in Melbourne. She is thrilled to be collaborating with Rob Dolan Wines on a series that not only showcases beautiful, liveable Melbourne, but also supports causes which are incredibly close to her heart.
