Not to be confused with Sauvignon Blanc, the round and generous Savagnin has a long history and is most famously produced in eastern France.

Hand-harvested from the Melba Vineyard in the Yarra Valley.

Whole bunch pressed to oak for 100% barrel ferment, with some whole berries.

70 % of this wine was was matured in seasoned French oak for 9 months.

Rob Dolan is known for his skill in the winery, passion for helping others, and cheeky character.

He says the trick is sourcing the best fruit, and from there, using a ‘less is more’ approach in the winery to bring the wine it to its full expression.

Our Black Label Savagnin displays zesty fruit character that lifts the delicate ravioli mixture of chicken and sage. The subtle nutty development in the wine is complemented by the hazelnut infused burnt butter sauce.
