2021 CHARDONNAY

A gruntier, fuller bodied expression of Yarra Valley Chardonnay. Creamy and packed with ripe fruit flavours, this is a Chardonnay for traditionalists.

Smell: orange blossom, mandarin, vanilla
Taste: lemon curd, hazelnut, saffron, with a creamy texture
Drink: now! But you can hold it for up to 8 years
Great for: Sipping alongside an easy weekend lunch of roast chicken + chickpea salad (with plenty of fetta!)
Nutrition: Vegan friendly, 86 calories per 120ml glass

Made from grapes at Yarra Valley’s Dixons Creek Vineyard by Rob Dolan, Adrian Santolin + the team.

The grapes were hand harvested, whole bunch pressed to oak with high solids juice to ferment. Aged in 20% new French oak for 10 months, 5% malolactic fermentation.

Rob Dolan is known for his skill in the winery, passion for helping others, and cheeky character.

He says the trick is sourcing the best fruit, and from there, using a ‘less is more’ approach in the winery to bring the wine it to its full expression.

PAIR WITH smoked beef ribs marinated with a spiced apple BBQ sauce

The crisp, yet rounded flavours of citrus fruits helps cut through the richness of the sweetly smoked and unctuous beef.
