Wine Notes

Colour: mid red, hints of crimson
Aroma: fresh strawberry, wild fruits + dark cherry
Palate: savoury oak, red fruits, spice, subtle juicy tannins
Cellar: medium term – up to 10 years


Region: Yarra Valley
Vineyard: Willowlake Vineyard, Gladysdale + Mandala Vineyard, Yarra Junction
Harvest: 3rd March + 5th March 2018
Method: hand picked


Process: destemmed, whole berry, 2-5 tonne ferment, cold soak x 4 days
Fermentation: initial wild ferment, then inoculated with specific yeast + plunged twice daily, pressed off dryness
Barrel: 10 months in French oak, 30% new + balance seasoned
Alcohol: 13.0%
