2018 Black Label Pinot Noir

Pinot Noir made to be rich and bold for food pairing. Richer plum and backing spice works with the stronger tannin profile and to make a wine perfect for pairing with medium-bodied meats such as pork loin or duck breast.

Wine Notes

Colour: ruby red
Aroma: dark cherry, raspberry, strawberry, star anise
Palate: earthy notes, rhubarb, dark berries + silky tannins
Cellar: up to 10 years


Region: Yarra Valley
Vineyard: single vineyard – Yarraland, Chirnside Park
Harvest: 28th February 2018
Method: hand picked


Process: crushed and destemmed
Fermentation: cold soaked for 2 days prior to seeding with Burgundy yeast strain in open pots. Plunged twice daily + pressed when dry
Barrel: matured in French hogsheads for 10 months
Alcohol: 13.0%
