2018 Black Label Chardonnay

A rich chardonnay specially made for food pairing. Lots of flavour, a strong acid line and a creamy texture are the keys to a great food-pairing chardonnay… which is exactly what we’ve done. Expect ripe stone fruit flavours, plus cashew and orange zest, and a lingering finish.

Pair with sweet potatoes and other sweet vegetables, rich creamy foods like risotto or carbonara, soft, creamy cheeses.

Colour: light golden hue
Aroma: peach, melon, orange zest, white flower
Palate: stone fruit, grilled cashew, fine balance of fruit + acidity long, lingering flavours
Cellar: up to 10 years


Region: Yarra Valley
Vineyard: single vineyard – Yarraland, Chirnside Park
Harvest: 1st March 2018
Method: hand picked


Process: whole bunch pressed, settled overnight and racked with heavy solids to barrel for ferment
Fermentation: fermented and matured in French hogshead for 10 months
Alcohol: 13.0%
Winemakers: Rob Dolan + Mark Nikolich
