Not to be confused with Sauvignon Blanc, the round and generous Savagnin has a long history and is most famously produced in eastern France. Hand-harvested from the Melba Vineyard in the Yarra Valley. Whole bunch pressed to oak for 100% barrel ferment, with some whole berries. 70 % of this wine was was matured in seasoned French oak for 9 months. Made by Rob Dolan, Adrian Santolin + the team.

Our Black Label Savagnin displays zesty fruit character that lifts the delicate ravioli mixture of chicken and sage. The subtle nutty development in the wine is complemented by the hazelnut infused burnt butter sauce.
