Back in 2017, Rob & Jude Dolan announced they would support our Big Roast for Cystic Fibrosis campaign and host a Big Roast at the winery. It is a mark of the extraordinary, selfless, and generous people that they are that brings us to the 6th consecutive and final Rob Dolan Big Roast event.
As we celebrate this final year, I want to thank the many people from the many villages that it took to build the incredible success of this event.
Thank you to all of the Rob Dolan Wines and The Farm staff for your tireless investment of time and energy that make this event so remarkable that guests are desperate for a place at the Big Roast table each year. Your vision, professionalism, kindness, and hard work have always been on show in the way you have brought this event to life.
Thank you to every individual and business owner who has donated items to the event, the raffle, or the auction. The incredible funds that are raised for Cystic Fibrosis at this event are not possible without your ongoing generosity and support. Your contributions have always been provided in total abundance and with absolute grace. You are all extraordinary.
We would like to thank Professor Phil Robinson and Professor Sarath Ranganathan from the Cystic Fibrosis team at The Royal Children’s Hospital Respiratory Department for giving so generously of their time and expertise in speaking at these events and reminding us why we are here. You both stand on the frontlines of this battle and it has genuinely been an honour to have you stand with us in support of this campaign.
Of course, there are no funds or awareness raised for Cystic Fibrosis without the unrelenting support of the Big Roast guests! Your giant hearts and generous spirits make this event what it is. Thank you for sharing in the feasts and the amazing wine, for buying those raffle tickets, bidding on the auctions, and most importantly, educating your family and friends about Cystic Fibrosis.
And finally, there would be no one to thank, and nothing to be thankful for here, without Rob & Jude Dolan. You are the pillars of all of this. You have provided the platform for all of this fundraising and awareness for Cystic Fibrosis to take place. People often talk about ‘wanting to make a difference’ in the world. You HAVE MADE a difference in the lives of so many people living with Cystic Fibrosis. You are wired with generosity, love, and humility and it is has been a total privilege to share this Big Roast journey with you over the last 6 years. THANK YOU.
